All our short course are taught at common induction standard level. These courses can be used as refreshers.

 

Each course is run on a full or half day basis depending on the subject. There isa discount for group bookings.

 

Under Skills for Care Workforce Development Fund Standalone QCF Units for CPD Funding is calculated on the credit value of the unit for the Qualifications and Credit Framework. In 2014-2015 Skills for Care fund a credit at £15 pounds. The QCF units on the acceptable units list vary in size between 1 and 12 credits so the amount of funding that can be claimed ranges from £15 to £180 per unit.

This course is suitable for those already working in the social care sector and wish to either start administering medication or update their knowledge in regards to medication administration.  This is applicable to those working in residential care settings for domiciliary care settings.  This short course is delivered in your workplace to a group of up to 15 delegates.

This course is appropriate to anyone who wishes to learn more about Parkinsons Disease.  The course is delivered in the workplace to groups of up to 15 learners.

This short course in Foot and Oral Care is delivered over 6 hours, looking at the specific issues involved in looking after service users’ foot and oral care – a subject which has been unfortunately overlooked in many social care environments.  This course also looks at specific requirements for those with Diabetes, Stroke and Cancer.

The aim of the course is to enable students to understand a range of motivations and management of challenging behaviour.
